ROCKSHIELD™ Wear Technology
ROCKSHIELD™ 6265 Wear Plate is designed for applications involving regular abrasion at high temperatures. With a hardness range of 62–65 HRC, it is suited to demanding industrial wear conditions.
ROCKSHIELD™ 6265 is a carbide overlay wear plate manufactured using a submerged arc welding (SAW) process, depositing a highly wear-resistant carbide layer onto a mild-steel base. The carbide structure and supporting matrix are engineered to provide dependable protection in abrasive industrial service.
For engineering selection, evaluate the actual wear mechanism, impact load, temperature, material handled and component geometry rather than hardness alone.
Nominal hardness range
A hard carbide structure provides the primary wear-resistant working surface while the metal matrix supports the deposited layer.
